Nervous system

Nervous system
The nervous system coordinates the bodies response to changes in your and outside of your body. The nervous system works by sending impulses which are electrical coded messages. These messages give important information from the brain to the rest of the body
There are three main structures for our nervous system:
1. Brain
2. Spinal chord
3. Peripheral nerves
The basic unit of function of the nervous system is the nerve cell or neuron.Impulses are received by the dendrites, from other neuron. The neurons communicate to each other by using chemical messages called neurotransmitters and the space between to neurons is called the synapse. The nervous system also allows us to respond to the environment through reflexes and other environments. Your five senses are also help out and are a part of your nervous system.
The diagram above shows you were all the main structures are located in your body.

The Brain
The brain is the control center and the power center of your body. your brain of your body is as important as a nucleus inside a cell.
The brain has three parts: Cerebrum, Cerebellum, Medulla

Cerebrum: is the largest part of the brain. It is responsible for the voluntary, or conscious activities of the bodies. It is the site if most of your intelligence, learning, and judgment. The left and right side both control each other and as people are called right or left brained they think of it as right as in creativity left as in smart thinking.
Cerebellum: The Cerebellum is the second largest region coordinating and balancing your muscles so we can walk, run, jump and etc.
Brain stem/ Medulla is the most important part of the brain. it conects the Spinal cord to the rest of the brain so we have balance, and smarts. it also controls and maintains our blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, and eating/swallowing.

Spinal cord

The spinal cord primary function is the transmission of neuro signals between the brain and the rest of the body but also contain neuro circuits that control numerous reflexes. The spinal cord has another function: it is a helper or is known for being the path way to send body movement information moved to the muscles.
The Peripheral Nerves
These nerve cells carry information to and from thehe central nervous system to the muscles and the rest of the body. Cells of the sensory nervous system send information to the brain or the spinal cord from internal organs or from external disruptions.

Neurons
Neurons or commonly known as nerve cells are electrically compoundedcells in the nervous system that function to process and transmit information through the whole body.
